The Duchess of Cornwall opens British Flowers Week at the Garden Museum
Published
The Duchess of Cornwall today toured the Garden Museum in London ahead of British Flowers Week.
The annual British Flowers Week festival is run in collaboration with New Covent Garden Flower Market. It is an annual, national celebration of the wealth and variety of British cut flowers, plants and foliage. The week aims to showcase great British floristry and talent in floral design, raise awareness of which British flowers are in season when, and encourage the public to buy more British flowers.
Her Royal Highness toured the floral installations, which are designed around the theme ‘Healing’, alongside Shane Connelly, Royal Florist. The Duchess had the opportunity to meet the florists alongside their displays.
The Duchess also visited the museum’s new exhibition, Constance Spry and Fashion for Flowers, curated by Shane Connolly.
Her Royal Highness received a beautiful bouquet containing rosemary - a sign of remembrance on what would have been the 100th birthday of The Duke of Edinburgh.
