The Queen attends Queen's Reading Room screening of Hamnet

The Queen has attended a special screening of 'Hamnet', the film adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's award-winning novel, hosted by by The Queen's Reading Room.
Earlier in the evening, hosted by The Queen's Reading Room in collaboration with Universal and Focus Features, some of the film's cast and crew joined a panel discussion for guests about their experience adapting a novel for the screen.
On arrival at the event, Her Majesty met the panellists, including author Maggie O'Farrell, Producers Dame Pippa Harris and Liza Marshall, and Casting Director Nina Gold.
The Queen also met cast members Joe Alwyn and Jacobi Jupe, who plays the titular character.
Her Majesty had the opportunity to view a display of costumes created for the film with Costume Designer Malgosia Turzanska, before entering a screening of the film.
The Queen's Reading Room (originally The Duchess of Cornwall's Reading Room), was launched by Her Majesty in 2021. The charity champions the transformative power of literature in the UK and beyond.
