The Duke of Edinburgh visits Estonia
Published
The Duke of Edinburgh has undertaken a series of military engagements in Estonia.

His Royal Highness, in his capacity as Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Dragoon Guards, visited troops currently deployed to Estonia and attended a training exercise in Harju County.

This cold weather operator course takes place every year in Estonia and involves soldiers spending two nights in a forest, learning how to build camps, make fires and find food and water.

Afterwards, The Duke visited Tapa Camp, an army base in Laane-Viru County.

His Royal Highness was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Dragoon Guards, a position previously held by The King, in 2023.

During the official visit, The Duke of Edinburgh also met President Alar Karis at Kadriorg.
