Milano Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026

The Princess Royal and The Duke of Edinburgh attended events at the Winter Olympics in Milan. The Duke returned to Milan, with The Duchess of Edinburgh as the Paralympic Games began.
As President of Team GB, Her Royal Highness watched events including Curling and Snowboarding, and presented medals for the Women’s Snowboard Big Air Final.
Ahead of the Games, Her Royal Highness shared a good luck message with athletes.
As Patron of GB Snowsport, The Duke of Edinburgh also attended the Winter Olympics, celebrating Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale's gold medal - Great Britain's first-ever on snow!
The Duke of Edinburgh returned to Milan, in his capacity as Patron of the British Paralympic Association, to cheer on Team GB at the Winter Paralympic Games.
Accompanied by The Duchess of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness watched British athletes in action across multiple events and met members of the team competing in the Games.
Their Royal Highnesses also spent time with staff and supporters who are helping to support Team GB.
