The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall support the vaccine rollout
Published 16/03/2021
Over the past few months, Their Royal Highnesses have undertaken a series of visits to highlight different aspects of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
The most recent visit took place at Finsbury Park Mosque, where The Prince and The Duchess met clinical and operational leads, vaccinators, administrators and stewarding staff from the NHS and the Mosque.
The Prince has a longstanding relationship with Finsbury Park Mosque, having attended its opening ceremony in 1994. He returned to the Mosque in 2017 to pay his respects with the local community following the Finsbury Park terror attack.
Read about Their Royal Highnesses other recent visits to support the vaccine rollout:
Last December, The Prince and The Duchess visited Gloucestershire Royal Hospital's Covid-19 Vaccination Hub.
In February, Their Royal Highnesses visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to thank volunteers undertaking clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccinations.
Later in the month, The Duchess, as President of the Royal Voluntary Service, visited Wembley Park Vaccination Centre.
In March, The Prince visited Jesus House, which has been particularly driven in its effort to encourage vaccine take-up amongst the BAME community. As well as hosting its own NHS vaccine pop-up clinic, Jesus House has led seminars to share credible information about the programme, providing opportunity to raise questions and concerns with healthcare professionals.
The Duchess joined His Royal Highness later in the day at Skipton House to hear from NHS England and the Ministry of Defence, who have led on the vaccine rollout.
