Her Royal Highness officially opened a new AI-powered technology suite to support training firefighters at Capita’s Fire Service College.

The new Immersive Skills Lab is a purpose built, fully flexible learning space created to support practical and collaborative firefighter training and skills development.

The Lab uses AI to replicate hyper-realistic real-life fire scenarios whilst eliminating the associated safety and environmental concerns.

At the charity's Training Facility at Gloucestershire Airport, The Princess heard how the charity aims to rebuild confidence, capabilities and pride and help veterans continue providing for their families for years to come.

During the visit, Her Royal Highness was presented with wings worn by test pilot Peter Wilson on the first-ever landing of an F-35 plane on HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Finally, The Princess opened an innovative affordable housing development in Avening.

The £2.87 million development, delivered by English Rural in partnership with Cotswold District Council and Avening Parish Council, provides 14 much-needed affordable homes.

The homes have been built to high environmental standards and showcase how affordable rural homes can be sensitively designed to complement village settings.

Drawing on traditional Cotswold architecture, the properties feature characteristic steep-pitched gables and local materials, including reconstituted Cotswold stone.
