The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Patron, Cathedral Music Trust, this morning received Mr. Jonathan Macdonald (Chairman of the Board of Trustees) and Mr. Jonathan Mayes (Chief Executive Officer).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, this afternoon attended the One Hundred and Fiftieth Performance of "Messiah on Good Friday" by the Royal Choral Society at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7, and was received by Mr. Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Windsor Castle

The King and Queen this morning arrived at St Asaph Cathedral and were received at the West Door by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr. Henry Fetherstonhaugh), the Bishop of St. Asaph (the Right Reverend Gregory Cameron) and the Dean (the Very Reverend Nigel Williams).

The King and Queen attended the Maundy Service at which His Majesty distributed the Royal Maundy.

The Right Reverend Graham Usher (Lord High Almoner) and the Reverend Canon Paul Wright (Sub-Almoner) were present.

The King's Body Guard of the Yeoman of the Guard were on duty.

After the Service the new Welsh Chaplains were presented to Their Majesties by the Dean of the Chapel Royal in Wales (the Right Reverend Dorrien Davies).

The King and Queen this afternoon attended a Reception in front of the West Door before meeting well wishers outside the Cathedral.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation's new Headquarters at Dudhope Castle, Barrack Road, Dundee, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Dundee (Councillor William Campbell, the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, the Chaffinch Trust, afterwards attended a Management Team Meeting at Dudhope Castle.

Buckingham Palace

The King held a Council at 2.00 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Edward Miliband MP (Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero), the Rt. Hon. Nicklaus Thomas-Symonds MP (Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General), the Rt. Hon. Sir Stephen Timms MP (Minister for Social Security and Disability) and the Rt. Hon. Anna Turley MP (Minister of State without Portfolio).

Mrs. Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

The Queen, Patron, BookTrust, this morning received Mr. John Coughlan upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of Trustees and Ms. Radha Chakraborty upon assuming the appointment.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this morning visited the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Queen Victoria Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Ms. Lucy Winskell).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Colmans Seafood Temple, Sea Road, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, to mark the One Hundredth Anniversary of Colmans of South Shields.

The Princess Royal afterwards visited South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade, Watch House, South Pier, South Shields, to mark its One Hundred and Sixtieth Anniversary.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this evening attended a Dinner at the Playfair Library Hall, Old College, Southbridge, for the Edinburgh Ocean Leaders programme and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery, South Road, Wooler, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland (Dr. Caroline Pryer).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Berwick Bridge, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Berwick Barracks, Berwick-upon-Tweed.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Northumbria Basketry Group at Berwick Barracks.

Buckingham Palace

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

His Majesty, Patron and Permanent Master, the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, this afternoon received Mr. James Cunningham and presented him with The King's Silver Medal for 2025.

Mrs. Cunningham was also received by His Majesty.

Admiral Sir George Zambellas (Prime Warden) was present.

Later, The President of the Syrian Arab Republic visited The King at Buckingham Palace.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty this evening.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester this morning officially opened Silverwood Mental Health Inpatient Service at St. Peter's Hospital Campus, Holloway Hill, Lyne, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr. Michael More-Molyneux).

Windsor Castle

The King this morning received representatives from international and United Kingdom fisheries organisations.

His Majesty this afternoon joined a Reception at Windsor Castle held by the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance.
