Sandringham, Norfolk

The King and The Queen, Patron, the National Stud, this morning visited the National Stud, Newmarket, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence), the Chairman (the Lord Grimthorpe) and Mrs. Anna Kerr (Chief Executive Officer).

Their Majesties met Board Members, members of staff and representatives from racing charities and trusts before viewing a parade of stallions.

The King and Queen this afternoon met representatives from the local community and businesses at King Edward VII Memorial Hall, 124 High Street, Newmarket, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk (Clare, Countess of Euston) and the Mayor of Newmarket (Councillor Philippa Winter).

Their Majesties subsequently walked along the High Street meeting members of the public.

The King and Queen, Joint Patrons, the Jockey Club, afterwards visited the Jockey Club Rooms, 101 High Street, Newmarket, and were received by the Hon. Peter Stanley (Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk) and the Baroness Harding of Winscombe (Senior Steward, the Jockey Club).

His Majesty and Her Majesty, Patron, the National Horseracing Museum, were received by the Chairman of the National Horseracing Museum (the Hon. Mrs. Frances Stanley) before meeting Mr. James Mullen (Chief Executive Officer, the Jockey Club), Stewards and Directors.

The King and Queen subsequently attended a Reception in the garden.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Buckingham Palace

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Sherif Kamel at 26 South Street, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr. Rami Mortada at 21 Kensington Gardens, London W8, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Lebanese Republic to the Court of St. James's.

By command of The King, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Therese Rath at 45 Crawford Place, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for Belize in London.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting and the Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Road, Builth Wells, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Powys (Mrs. Tia Jones).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Society of Antiquaries of London, this evening officially opened the 'Magna Carta 1225 - 2025' Exhibition at Burlington House, London W1.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened Insmed Innovation UK Limited's Genetic Disease Research Centre, Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Olive Alternative Provision Academy, Ascham Road, Cambridge.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Vertically Urban, Typhoon House, Moxon Way, Sherburn in Elmet, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs. Johanna Ropner).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Dovecote Park, Bankwood Road, Pontefract.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire.

Windsor Castle

Mr. Richard Gledson was received by The King this morning upon relinquishing his appointment as Resident Factor, Balmoral Estate, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The President of the Republic of Maldives visited The King.

His Majesty, Duke of Lancaster received Sir James Leigh-Pemberton (Chairman of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster) and Mr. Alastair Martin (Chief Executive Officer).

The King, Patron, this afternoon visited the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Marston Road, Headington, Oxford, which is celebrating its Fortieth Anniversary and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs. Marjorie Glasgow), the Chancellor of the University of Oxford (the Lord Hague of Richmond), the Chairman of the Centre's Board of Trustees (Prince Turki Al-Faisal) and Councillor Louise Upton (Lord Mayor of Oxford).

His Majesty was welcomed by Dr. Farhan Nizami (Director, Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies) to which The King was graciously pleased to reply.

His Majesty, escorted by the Director, subsequently named the King Charles III Wing before touring the wing.

The King afterwards met members of the Board of Trustees before attending a Reception in the garden of the King Charles III Wing.

His Majesty was represented by Lieutenant General Sir James Bucknall at the Funeral of Colonel Malcolm Havergal (former Gentleman Usher to The late Queen and Extra Gentleman Usher) which was held at St. John the Baptist Church, High Street, Hindon, Wiltshire, this afternoon.

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Queen.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this afternoon opened Hankook Tyre UK Limited's warehouse and office at Hankook House, Parsons Road, Daventry, and was received by Mrs. Anne Burnett (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire).

Her Royal Highness later presented The King's Award for Voluntary Service to Wellingborough District Hindu Association, Sanatan Hindu Mandir, 133 Highfield Road, Wellingborough, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (Mr. James Saunders Watson).

The Princess Royal, President, Racing Welfare, this evening attended a Reception at Windsor Castle to mark its Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, London Scottish Football Club, afterwards attended a new season training session at King's House Sports Ground, Riverside Drive, Chiswick, London W4, and was received by Ms. Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited CTL Seal, Standard Steam Locomotive Company, Butterthwaite Lane, Sheffield, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Professor Dame Hilary Chapman).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Pryor Marking, Egerton Street, Sheffield.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited the Heart of the City Development, Henry Boot PLC Building, Sheffield.

His Royal Highness later visited Green Estate Community Interest Company, Manor Lane, Sheffield.

Windsor Castle

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The winners of the Defence Operational Shooting Competition were received by His Majesty this afternoon and presented with The King's Medal.

Captain Tarjan Gurung, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, and Captain Jagatram Rai, The Queen's Gurkha Signals, were received by The King when His Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Members of the Royal Victorian Order.

Major David Walker (Chief of Staff, Brigade of Gurkhas) was present.

The President of the Republic of Paraguay visited The King.

His Majesty gave a Reception at Windsor Castle this evening for tenants of the Crown Estate.

The Queen, Patron, Children's Hospice South West, this morning visited Little Bridge Hospice, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, and was received by Mr. Nicholas Powe (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).

Her Majesty this afternoon visited HMS ASTUTE to mark the end of the Submarine's first commission, and afterwards joined an HMS ASTUTE Garden Party at His Majesty's Naval Base, Devonport, Plymouth, Devon.

The Queen was presented with a Burgee, to mark Her Majesty's appointment as Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom, at HMS DRAKE, His Majesty's Naval Base, Devonport.
