During an away day in Norfolk, The Duke of Gloucester visited SOUL Church on Heartsease Lane.
Here, The Duke heard about the church's community outreach activities and projects, including the feeding the homeless, a job club, a community café, a group supporting women who have experienced pregnancy loss, and the social supermarket.
His Royal Highness also met people in the church’s long established wellbeing group, which supports those struggling with poor mental health, addiction, loneliness and other challenges, to find community, share a meal and have access to practical resources.
Earlier in the day, His Royal Highness carried out additional engagements, which included…
- officially opening St. Martin’s House, which works to maximise independent living and prevent homelessness.
- visiting classes and students at Henry Cator Building at the East Norfolk Sixth Form College.
- hearing about therapy sessions offered at ‘Headway’ The King’s Centre!
