Mexico State Visit Programme

The President of the United Mexican States, Señor Enrique Peña Nieto, accompanied by Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña, will pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom as the guests of Her Majesty The Queen, from Tuesday 3rd March to Thursday 5th March 2015.
MONDAY 2ND MARCH
The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Rivera arrive in the UK.
In the afternoon The President will witness the signing of a Treaty and Memoranda of Understanding on Education Collaboration and Tourism Cooperation.
TUESDAY 3RD MARCH
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall greet The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Rivera on behalf of The Queen before travelling to Horse Guards Parade.
Ceremonial Welcome on Horse Guards Parade, with The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
State Carriage Procession along The Mall to Buckingham Palace.
Private lunch at Buckingham Palace, given by The Queen. Viewing of an exhibition of Mexican-related items from the Royal Collection.
The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Rivera visit The Prince of Wales at Clarence House.
The President and Señora Rivera visit Westminster Abbey, The President lays a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
The President of the United Mexican States visits the Palace of Westminster.
The Queen gives a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace for The President of the United Mexican States. Her Majesty and The President both make speeches at the start of the Banquet.
WEDNESDAY 4TH MARCH
The President of the United Mexican States attends a UK-Mexico Senior Business Leaders Breakfast Meeting at Buckingham Palace.
The President has a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, The Rt. Hon. Nick Clegg MP.
The President of the United Mexican States delivers the Canning Lecture at Lancaster House.
The President has a meeting with the Prime Minister, The Rt Hon David Cameron MP, at No.10 Downing Street.
The President meets the Leader of the Opposition, The Rt Hon Ed Miliband, MP.
The President of the United Mexican States attends the 'Mexico Day' Business Forum at Mansion House. The President delivers an address on 'Investment Opportunities in Mexico' to close the Business Forum.
The President and Señora Rivera attend a Banquet at Guildhall given by The Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation, in the presence of The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The Lord Mayor and The President both make speeches at the end of the Banquet.
THURSDAY 5TH MARCH
The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Rivera formally bid farewell to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace.
The President travels to Aberdeen, where he is received by The Rt. Hon. Alistair Carmichael, MP, Secretary of State for Scotland.
The President attends a signing of Memoranda of Understanding on Collaboration in the Energy Sector and attends a reception with representatives from the UK Oil and Gas Sector. The President and The Rt. Hon.
Matthew Hancock, MP, Minister of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change both make short addresses.
In the afternoon, The President of the United Mexican States visits Robert Gordon University.
The President of the United Mexican States departs the UK.
