The Duke of Cambridge marked the 10th Anniversary as President of the English Football Association (FA) with a celebration lunch at Wembley Stadium.  His Royal Highness was joined at a short reception by some of the many people he has worked with since his appointment in May 2006, including FA staff, supporters, and grassroots volunteers.

Over lunch, there was an opportunity to reflect on some of the organisation's key moments and the projects which The Duke has supported with The FA over the last decade, from his first time presenting the FA Cup as President in 2006, to hosting a football match at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of The FA.

The event will concluded with a speech by The Duke, looking forward to the future of the organisation. Read it here.

Football is England's national game...it is part of the fabric of this nation, and to a large degree, helps form England's national identity. It is an incredibly powerful force for bringing people together, uniting people of all ages, all backgrounds and all walks of life

The FA is the not-for-profit, governing body of football in England which re-invests more than £100 million back into the game each year. It grows participation, promotes diversity and regulates the sport for everyone to enjoy. The FA runs 24 England teams, across men’s, women’s, youth and disability football, utilising the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park.
