The Duke of Cambridge wishes the #Lionesses Good Luck
Published
The Duke of Cambridge has hosted a reception at Kensington Palace to wish the England Women's Football team good luck in the UEFA Women's Cup.

The Duke, who has been President of the FA for over 10 years, is a big supporter of the Lionesses - they were previously invited to the Palace after their third place in the 2015 World Cup.
The squad will travel to the Netherlands later today – their first match is against Scotland on Sunday.
Good luck ladies!
Following the reception, The Duke joined the Lionesses for a kick-about with a girls football team from the Wildcats Girls' Football programme.
The programme aims to inspire girls aged 5-11 to get involved in football, develop skills and gain a lifelong love of sport.
The Duke got involved in a penalty shoot practise with the budding young footballers.
Today's events coincide with the FA Girls' Football week. Starting on Sunday the week aims to raise the profile of female football.
