Leaders from countries around The Commonwealth will meet in London and Windsor.
This April, as previously announced, the UK will host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), when leaders from countries around The Commonwealth will gather to meet in London and Windsor. Several events taking place across Royal Palaces have now been announced.
The Commonwealth is an organisation which spans every geographical region, religion and culture – a vast community which embraces diversity among its 53 countries and almost 2.5 billion people, of which 60 per cent are under 30 years old.

On 14 February, Her Majesty The Queen will host a reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora Community. On 19 February, The Duchess of Cambridge and HRH The Countess of Wessex will host a reception on behalf of The Queen during London Fashion Week to celebrate and showcase a new creative initiative, the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange.
In the run up to CHOGM2018 inspirational volunteers from around the Commonwealth are being recognised with Points of Light Awards. The 'Commonwealth Points of Light' Awards will celebrate inspirational acts of volunteering, as well as encouraging others to volunteer and make a positive impact in their community.
Over the next few months we will be sharing stories about The Queen's #CommonwealthCanopy project. The @queenscanopy launched in 2015 to encourage countries around the Commonwealth to dedicate forestry projects in Her Majesty's name. Since then more than 30 countries have dedicated projects to honour The Queen's lifetime commitment to The Commonwealth.
