Children's literature party deadline reminder

THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE QUEEN

The deadline for applying for an invitation to attend the children's literature party on 25 June is midnight on Tuesday, 28 February 2006.

If children are successful, they will be contacted in April, so please DO NOT try to call CBBC or Buckingham Palace.

Even if you aren't one of the lucky ones going to the party on 25 June, you and your friends will still be able to enjoy the event, because there will be a live show from the Palace, on BBC1, at 6pm on the day for everyone to watch.
